After 13 days of renovation this BH was finally on its way to be populated with swiftlet nests.
For the pass 5 years it was with zero nests.
The owner claimed that he so far have engaged 3 consultants.
I was the 4th and the best according to him.
Today after installing the external and internal sounds, I was so relief to see the first batch of birds started to enter the entrance holes.
The front entrance holes ( 2 holes) received about 7 birds while the bacl (1 hole) received 3 birds.
Total on the first day was 10 birds. Not bad.
I told the owner to allow the BH to run for the whole day and he will get more birds into his reactivated BH.
The installation of a monkey house by a contractor and opening of a new entrance hole at the back are two very important milestone to get more birds entering the house.
With two sets of entrance hole I now played two sets of external sounds.
If the prefer the sound at the front they will be entering the 2nd floor and if they are in love with the back entrance hole sound they will be populating the top floor.
This BH now designed to operate like a two BHs in one.
The floors are now wet all the time.
The air are filled with water droplets from 6 sets of chicken coop humidifiers.
All the BH nesting planks were properly cleaned and installed with a new set of internal sound tweeters.
A total of 350 new tweeters were installed.
In addition the external sound tweeters (AG 35) installed was about 55 pieces.
This BH will be the best BH, six stars, in the whole of Kuala Kangsar, Perak.
Once those wild birds entered they will not want to stay in any other BH around it.
The floors were sprayed with Mutiara aroma and insect generation basins were installed on the top floor.
One very special installation found in this BH is a LED street light installed at the back of it.
Main intention is to act as a navigation tool but at the same time to attract lots of insect once the light is on.
Let us wait and see what happen when the BH operate for at least 3 months,
